You should be able to listen to Mp3s, keep your GPS data current, and be given notice of different things through the system's notification service without being forced to keep any specific application open and running. One of the best things about this tablet that wasn't a part of the original iPad design is video chat. Video chat comes built in to the Dell Streak 7 tablet via a front-facing panel camera and Qik software. The only catch is that the only people you can chat with are those who have a Streak tablet or a compatible device. So there isn't an all-encompassing video chat function available. Another good thing is that the tablet comes built in with Blockbuster's On Demand service. Of course, Blockbuster is going through its own share of troubles lately so we aren't quite certain if this is truly a selling point.
So far, there aren't many reviews about this particular product although several people are wondering what the point of this product could actually be. It isn't an encompassing device - it can't communicate between non Streak-compatible devices so its functionality is quite limited. Notwithstanding, a keen desire for a tablet computer coupled with a limited budget could make this tablet a perfect way to acquaint yourself with the technology.
